Daniel Weiss has been in the business space since 1989 when he started Carolina Computer Consultants, a successful POS software company. After selling the company, he supported Moore & Van Allen, PLLC, leading a team of technical professionals who architected, managed and supported all of the firm’s major IT functions, dramatically improving the firm’s IT platform, security posture, service levels, and data integrity. Most recently, Dan co-founded Varrow, Inc., a INC500 and NC FAST50 company which was later acquired by Sirius Computer Solutions, a national integrator of technology-based business solutions that span the enterprise, including the data center and lines of business, where he continued as the Senior Vice President of Sales Strategy and Planning.

Dan continues his expertise in putting together high performing teams in creating The Menagerie Hospitality Group.  To Dan, hospitality means welcoming all people as new friends to offer them authentic, custom and thoughtful service. With two unique concepts already underway, Dan looks forward to creating interesting and carefully-crafted venues for guests to enjoy their free time.

Born into hospitality entrepreneurship through his Greek heritage, Giannis’s love and passion for entrepreneurship, hospitality and the city of Charlotte have only evolved over time. Through focused studies, successful business engagements, luxury brand management and mentorship, Giannis has gained recognition in cultivating a true cigar experience. In 2019 after forging a bond with Daniel Weiss, an inspired brain child and lifelong dream started to take form through the Menagerie Hospitality Group; Giannis has been named Director of Operations and is responsible for the formation and development of several luxury concepts in pursuit of creating and delivering unforgettable and authentic experiences. Giannis is also the Managing Partner of MHG concept The Vintage Whiskey & Cigar Bar, set to open in the Queen City in 2020. Giannis looks forward to using his diverse talents and penchant for hospitality to inspire thoughtful geniality in the food and beverage industry.

Born with sales, service and hospitality in her system, Tara Cottone has advanced through the food and beverage scene to become an expert in taking care of people. From her very first restaurant job as a teen, to her current role as General Manager at The Wine Loft, Tara has leveraged a combination of an analytical educational background and long term service industry experience to yield extreme capabilities with attention to detail, genuine and efficient customer care, and a passion for the creation of unforgettable customer experiences. With savvy, creativity and specialty in the business of restaurant management, acquired through working in high-frequency venues in Miami and Charlotte, Tara is excited to support the Menagerie Hospitality Group’s mission to create unique, welcoming and meaningful experiences.

A marketer by nature, Cassidy Sheehan got her professional start in the catering industry at Harry Caray’s in 2018, while studying at DePaul University in Chicago; soon after, she started working on campus as a marketing coordinator. Enthralled by relationship building, networking and building brands, Cassidy moved on to serve as a social media manager for Chicago Planner Magazine, offering support in the areas of digital marketing, partnerships and campaigns. In 2019, Cassidy moved to Charlotte, NC where she brings her fun and creative personality and dynamic work experience to life as the Marketing and Events Director at the Menagerie Hospitality Group. She is excited to share her care for people, community building and the creation of special experiences with Charlotte.
